100% solid lime/linden (Tilia cordata, I think!) wood wand with a red/white mushroom (inspired by Amanita muscaria) pattern.
Length: Ca 306 mm or 12″
Diameter: ~19-22 mm
Wood Origin Location: Off Wollaton Road, Wollaton, Nottingham (UK)
Harvest Method: Found on the ground
Cut, stripped, carved/shaped, dried, sanded, sanded some more, burned, sanded a bit again, painted with red and white acrylic paints, and finished off with a coating of clear linseed oil to protect the wood.
Colour variations, aside from the acrylic paint, are due to the wood itself.
Wand created: 2012
